Terms of Service
Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms apply to the SmashKit Chrome extension, this website and any purchase of SmashKit tools. By installing SmashKit or making a purchase you agree to them.
1. Who we are
SmashKit is a trading name of Daniel Lupu, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@getsmashkit.com.
2. What SmashKit is
SmashKit is a browser extension that takes a snapshot of the tab you're viewing and lets you draw visual and sound effects over it, for fun or as a harmless prank. It does not change the website, your files or your device, and the effects are visible only on the screen where SmashKit is running. Restore page removes them.
Hammer and Snake are free. Saw ($0.99), Gun ($0.99), Boxing ($0.99), LCD Punch ($1.49) can each be bought once, or all four together as the Bundle ($4.99). Prices are shown in US dollars before any sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.
SmashKit works on regular web pages in desktop Chrome 116 or newer. Chrome does not allow extensions on its own pages
(such as chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store), so the tools are unavailable there.
3. Purchases and payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy a tool, you buy it from Paddle under the Paddle Buyer Terms, and we make the tool available to you under these terms. Paddle takes your payment, charges any applicable tax and issues your receipt. Check the item and total in the Paddle checkout before you pay; you can close the checkout at any time without being charged.
Purchases are one-time payments, not subscriptions. A purchased tool unlocks in the Chrome profile you bought it from as soon as payment is confirmed. If it doesn't, use Already paid? Refresh purchases in the palette or email us. If you reinstall the extension or move to another computer, email us with your order number and we'll restore your purchase.
4. Refunds
You can get a refund within 30 days of purchase. See the Refund Policy for how.
5. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use SmashKit and any tools you've bought, for your own non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, or try to bypass the purchase check of the extension.
6. Using SmashKit responsibly
Please prank kindly. Don't use SmashKit to frighten, harass or deceive people into harm, for example to make someone believe their device is broken in order to get money or access from them. Only use it on devices you own or have permission to use.
7. Intellectual property
SmashKit, its artwork and code belong to Daniel Lupu. Some sound effects are licensed from third parties and credited inside the extension package.
8. Changes and availability
We may update SmashKit, for example to keep it working with new versions of Chrome. Tools you've bought stay available for as long as we offer SmashKit.
9. Liability
SmashKit is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for SmashKit. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Complaints
If something goes wrong, email support@getsmashkit.com. We reply within 5 working days and aim to resolve complaints within 14 days. If you're in the UK and we can't resolve it, you can get free advice from Citizens Advice consumer service. Payment problems can also be raised directly with Paddle at paddle.net.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. The terms in force when you made a purchase apply to that purchase.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your home country and may bring claims there.
